Cajamarca, Aug. 18 (ANDINA).
Chamis community, in Peru’s central Cajamarca region, will carry out on Sunday, August 21, a ritual worship of water in order to promote the new tourist circuit in the Andean department.
Following the recent launch of the new circuit, local authorities, in coordination with the Municipality of Cajamarca, have scheduled a free visit, which includes transportation and meals,
Councilman Victor Portal said the idea is to promote that circuit that includes Chamis and Shicuana communities and its main attractions.
Some of these attractions are Chamis lakewith abundant wildlife, La Shicuana hill, and the viewpoint from which the valley of Cajamarca can be seen.
Portal reaffirmed the commitment of the municipality to continue investing in rural tourism with awareness programs for the community as well as in restaurants and guest houses, also implementing textiles and pottery workshops.
Those interested in taking part of the visit must gather at Cajamarca’s Plaza Mayor at 07:30 hours on Sunday.
