Peru Travel News: European press tasted Peru's pisco cocktails at Madrid Fusion 2011

 
Lima. Jan. 26 (ANDINA). European journalists specialized in gastronomy and representatives of Spanish liquor distributors tried pisco and its different cocktails during the second day of Madrid Fusion 2011. Europe’s largest international gastronomic summit taking place in Spain.

The pisco tasting. held at the Peruvian stand Peru. mucho gusto. generated a big enthusiasm among the attendees who spared no efforts in praising the country’s flagship drink as well as the many cocktails prepared with pisco such as pisco sour. maracuya sour. chilcano. and others.

Deputy Culture Minister and executive at the Peruvian Society of Gastronomy Bernardo Roca Rey told Andina news agency that the most important thing is that Madrid Fusion is attended by the most internationally renowned critics. that is. true experts that will spread the goodness of our cuisine and cocktails to the world.

He pointed out that the Peruvian chefs responsible for tomorrow’s lunch tasting. after Gaston Acurio’s presentation. are already preparing everything for the banquet. which will captivate the most discerning palates.
