Lima. Jun. 30 (ANDINA). The international tourists arrivals to Peru in the first half of the year would have increased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year. Peru’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism Martin Perez said Wednesday.
'This result is explained by a recovery of the arrivals to the Jorge Chavez International Airport and to Santa Rosa Airport in Tacna.' he said.
If a positive outlook is maintained. the increase of international tourists arrivals can be as high as 5.1% by the end of the year.
'This means the arrival of two million 249.122 international tourists. which would surpass our previous estimate of 2.2 million. given at the beginning of the year.' he said.
Minister Perez presented today the numbers of inbound tourism. which revealed an increase of 4.1% in the arrival of international tourists to the country regarding the same period last year.
