A total of 302,035 foreign and domestic tourists visited the alternative sites to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu between January and July, which represents an increase of 16 percent, Cusco’s Committee on Tourist-Cultural Integrated Services (Cosituc) said Thursday.

Cosituc is the organization responsible for the collection, administration and distribution of resources obtained from the sale of Cusco’s Tourist Ticket, which offers 16 attractions located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the South Valley and the Imperial City. (more…)
